Today, we went to the Florida Alligator farm! My dad, Seth and Jamie got to feed a big gater! I got to hold a small Albino Alligator. I learned that there are 23 different species in the crocodillian family.
The gaters and crocs just lay around in the sun all day because they need alot of heat to survive. The people at the farm fed the gaters, gater food(looks like big pieces of kibble)or at feeding shows, the gaters get fed, dead rodents(like dead mice).
The park had more than just gaters and crocs, they had exotic birds, like mecaws, and vultures; there were big swan-like things that i forgot thier names. They are going to soon put in a Kamoto snake and a 21 ft. python!
