We decided to detour through this island on our way to Pensacola, Florida. It was perhaps one of the most narrow islands I have ever seen.
While it was a beautiful beach, it also seemed like a snow-covered strip of land surrounded by water. White sand was everywhere. There was only enough room on this island for one strip of houses on each side of the road, and there was no growing plants anywhere, only sand and dead trees. People were actually using snow shovels to get the sand off of their driveways. Anyway, enjoy the pics.
