TRANSIT ANTENNA is a hybrid arts and sciences organization that functions within the parameters of a (documented) creative workshop and educational resource.

We operate nationwide, working to engage communities on contemporary issues and facilitate the dissemination of progressive systems and experiences for the benefit of anyone that wants to live with an increased independence from infrastructure.

TRANSIT ANTENNA aims to evolve organically in response to the specific interests of successive crews that travel the roads of North America in converted, increasingly sustainable vehicles.

While consisting of artists, writers, filmmakers, performers, chefs and musicians, these titles do not define the collective goal. Collaborating enables crews to work beyond their individual interests and to inhabit roles not readily available to them as graduate students or careerists in their fields.

TRANSIT ANTENNA defines itself as the unfolding road carries it to new places, people, and experiences. These experiences are the pearls handed to the group along the way.

A vehicle for change, TRANSIT ANTENNA also accommodates an Artist in Residence Program offering periodic travel opportunities for those working in the contemporary arts. By displacing the creative practice the program aims to unite otherwise disparate individuals and their communities.
